    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Washington's ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, discussed with the Minister of Water Resources, Awn Dhiab, the water crisis in Iraq, while talking about "strategic decisions."
Romanowski said in a tweet followed by (Baghdad Today) that she "met yesterday with the Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab, to discuss the water situation in Iraq and US aid to enhance the government's ability to manage water and ensure the safety of dams."
She referred to "strategic decisions" that could guarantee "Iraq's water security in the future."
Iraq is witnessing a severe drought crisis that has led to a drop in water levels in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and many southern and central agricultural areas have been affected by water scarcity.
