Today, Saturday, the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, approved the establishment of the second police college, to be located in Basra Governorate.
Al-Sudani's media office said in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that the Prime Minister "directed that an organizational structure for the college be prepared, commensurate with its tasks and duties, based on Police College Law No. 37 of 2000."
The statement indicated that "the newly created college will have an independent financial budget, and will be linked to the office of the Minister of Interior in all aspects, similar to the current police college."
