Reducing treatment costs for retirees by 50%

The Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, directed the health departments in Baghdad and the provinces to grant retirees a 50 percent discount on the cost of treatment and hospitalization in private wards.
A document of the ministry stated, "The Minister of Health directed all health departments in Baghdad and the provinces to grant retirees, who have a retirement ID, a 50 percent discount from the cost of treatment and hospitalization in the private wards of health institutions."
The government had earlier launched a package of regulatory measures in support of the retirees, including their inclusion in a residential plot of land for non-beneficiaries, and the disbursement of a reward of 500,000 dinars on the day of his separation from his department.
