Shafaq News/ The Minister of Electricity, Ziyad Ali Fadel, issued, on Monday, 5 directives to the control centers, distribution departments, and technical follow-up teams in all the ministry's formations, following the visit of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, to the ministry, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.

According to the statement, the directives included:
First: Work on linking all intermediate and peripheral transforming and secondary stations with the (SCADA) system to monitor operation and equipment remotely.
Second: Forming roving follow-up teams that make sudden field visits to stations, checking records and operating times, and nutrient loads (locksheed).
Third: The control departments are concerned with standardizing the programming of interconnected and overlapping feeders in their networks to prevent any feeding exchange, and all maintenance sectors and centers must coordinate in this regard.
Fourth: It is strictly forbidden to carry out maintenance work during the period of operation of the feeders, except in emergency cases, and maintenance is done at the time of turning off the feeders for programming.
Fifth / The need for the operation departments and the technical departments to follow up the affairs of the station operators and their technical competence, and to ensure that they are rotated periodically to prevent any nepotism for one region over the other.
And in the late hours of yesterday night, Al-Sudani made a visit, the first of its kind, to the National Electricity Control Center located in the Al-Amin area, southeast of Baghdad, which is concerned with the distribution of electric current production quotas for the capital, Baghdad, and the provinces, and the transmission of instructions and their arrival in the event of a disconnection or technical exhibitor. Or bypassing and processing the quota of another conservative.

Observers are surprised by the Minister of Electricity's directive to connect the stations to the (SCADA) system, as the official spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Musa, previously confirmed, in a previous interview with Shafaq News agency, that the terminal and middle stations are connected to the SCADA system, and that no operator can manipulate the programming, and that there are Control bodies follow up on programming, as well as there is a record of loads, and there is a schedule for programming that is felt by national control and distribution.
As Musa confirmed at the time, there are oversight teams, also formed by the Ministry, that visit the stations on a daily and surprising basis, looking at the programming schedules and matching them with the quantities produced and available.
