The Investigation Department indicated in a statement that “the team of the Maysan Investigation Office, which moved to the governorate office, seized the priorities for implementing projects at a cost of (12,650,000,000) billion dinars in the cities of Amarah and Qalaat Saleh, which caused damage and waste of public money, according to what was reported.” Proven in the report of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision.

And the department continued, “The team revealed the implementation of projects included in the development of the regions at a cost of (10,000,000,000) billion dinars in the city of Amarah, which included tiling and extending a side mold and laying gravel, establishing a sewage network, and establishing three schools with (18) classes.” For each school, with furnishings in the first and second Al-Rahma neighborhoods of the city,” indicating that “the projects were implemented without the approvals of urban planning and real estate registration, because the lands on which the projects were implemented were illegally sorted and distributed among citizens.”
