    The Arab summit, which was held in the Saudi city of Jeddah last Friday, established a general trend towards rapprochement and appeasement, and prioritizing national interests over side crises. Prior to the summit, Iraq played a major and pioneering role in resolving the differences between the countries of the region, and it had the primary role in restoring relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.     For his part, committee member Haider al-Salami told "Al-Sabah": "Iraq's moves regarding the convergence of views between countries are positive in strengthening Iraqi diplomacy, by embracing and sponsoring meetings between countries," pointing to "the regional role that Iraq began to play and which It gave him strength in the region."
    In the same context, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sahaf, that the Jeddah summit reflected the balance of the Iraqi role in the region, pointing to a vision that Iraq is developing, which was the basis for important dialogues to restore stability in the region.
    Al-Sahhaf said to "Al-Sabah": "Iraq will regain its active role through partnerships based on seizing opportunities and strengthening the path of dialogues leading to integration in visions and positions." He added, "The Jeddah summit reflected the balance of the Iraqi role in the region and the Arab depth, as he called on Iraq during the prime minister's speech to build an economic bloc that explores all fields and their opportunities to serve the Arab peoples."
    He continued, "There is a vision that Iraq is developing to be adopted in foreign policy, which was the basis for important dialogues that contributed to restoring stability and reducing escalation in the region." At the level of the region and beyond," he concluded by saying, "All of this contributed to repositioning the strategic role of Iraq."
    For his part, Professor of Constitutional Systems, Dr. Saad Al-Shabki, There are positives for Iraq's participation in the Arab summit locally and regionally.
    Al-Shabki told "Al-Sabah": "One of the advantages of participating locally is the encouragement of Arab investments, especially the Gulf ones, the stability of the political situation, and the Syrian Gulf rapprochement, which is reflected in security in Iraq, as well as the abandonment of hate speech, violence and sectarianism."
    He added, "As for the region, the Gulf-Syrian-Iranian rapprochement and the return of Saudi-Iranian relations will have an impact in the Middle East," adding that "the discourse of diplomacy, dialogue, and sitting around one table has strongly returned to the political reality."
    Political analyst Ibrahim al-Sarraj saw that "Iraq's great efforts - especially its ability to bring together Iran and Saudi Arabia in different directions - is a great achievement for Iraqi diplomacy."
    Al-Sarraj added, to "Al-Sabah", that "Iraq's pivotal and motivating movement in the region gave it a greater role, and that any rapprochement between countries - if it is at the level of Egypt and Iran or between Saudi Arabia and Syria - is in the interest of the countries of the region," and he continued, "The repercussions of every rapprochement are achieved Economic and political stability and pouring towards new regional axes that are in the interest of all countries.
