    The Ministry of Agriculture will soon start implementing the electronic card system for farmers and investors in the sector, after approving its allocations in the budget, which amount to 20 billion dinars, and within 13 governorates over a period of two years.

    The Ministry's Administrative Undersecretary, Mahdi Sahar Al-Jubouri, said in a statement to the official agency, followed by "NAS" on Thursday (June 22, 2023), that after voting on the project's allocations amounting to 20 billion dinars within the tripartite federal budget law, the implementation of the project will begin for the current and next years, adding that the project had been completed. It began working as a first experiment in the holy governorates of Karbala and Wasit, and achieved remarkable successes.  
      
    And he indicated that the project will work to limit the ownership of land and cultivated varieties and deliver support to those who deserve it, by including all information and priorities related to the land, the farmer, the farmer or the investor, whatever the nature of the possession or the type of projects and the nature of the production established on the land, pointing out that the matter will make it easier for the competent authorities, Developing agricultural plans and equipping farmers with supplies and equipment to support his work.  
      
    Al-Sahar noted that the card, which includes an integrated database, will save all financial obligations that occur between the farmer or investor and the concerned authorities from the departments affiliated with or outside the ministry, in addition to matters that support his work such as loans, pumps, modern mechanization, pesticides, fodder and fertilizers, in a way that guarantees the full delivery of support to Those who deserve it are far from speculation, warning that every farmer has priority with the activity he practices, whether for the plant or animal sector.
