Amanat Baghdad recovers a quarter of a billion dinars embezzled by a "collection employee"

Today, Monday, the Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa Kazem, announced the recovery of an amount of 224 million dinars that had been embezzled in a municipal department by one of the tax collectors.
And the Municipality stated in a statement, that, "With follow-up by the Mayor of Baghdad with the competent departments, the embezzlement of an amount of 224 million dinars was discovered by one of the tax collectors in one of the municipal departments, and the amount was recovered to the Baghdad Municipality."
She added, "The Mayor of Baghdad formed an investigative committee, took legal measures, and referred the matter to the judicial authorities."
And she continued, "The Mayor of Baghdad stressed the cooperation with all oversight bodies and the Integrity Commission to follow up and eradicate financial and administrative corruption in any of the departments of the Municipality of Baghdad."
