Shafaq News/ The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi announced, on Wednesday, the launch of the third batch of those covered by social assistance for this year.
This came during a press conference held in Salah al-Din Governorate.
Al-Asadi said during the conference, "Today we announce the launch of the third batch of those covered by social assistance, with 64,000 families in Baghdad and the provinces, and the names will be published on the ministry's website next Sunday," adding, "We previously announced the first batch with 121,000 and the second with 6,000 families covered by social protection." ".
He added that the Social Protection Authority had previously covered 492,000 families since 1-10-2022, indicating that 62,000 families received the first batch of cash subsidy within the first and second batches that we launched earlier.
The minister also indicated that more than 100,000 families will receive the first cash payment of the subsidy within the social protection meal for the month of August.
He noted the completion of social research procedures for one million and 500 thousand families, and they will continue to work until all applicants complete inclusion, stressing the completion of procedures for updating data for five million and 871 thousand families for the purpose of giving them the food basket.
Al-Asadi continued by saying that the Council of Ministers issued a decision proving the need to allocate 1% of all fees and fines for the Social Protection Fund.
