Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan affirmed, during a joint press conference with the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, Masrour Barzani, Ankara's determination to cleanse Iraqi lands from the "scourge of terrorism."[/rtl]
[rtl]After a meeting they held in Erbil, Fidan pointed out that the meeting gave them the opportunity to evaluate bilateral relations.[/rtl]
[rtl]"We still have a lot of work to do to get rid of the scourge of terrorism," Fidan said.[/rtl]
[rtl]He explained that "Turkey managed to settle this matter to a large extent on its territory," saying: "At the present time, the PKK organization is hiding in Iraqi territory, and God willing, we will cleanse Iraq together from this virus as well." .”[/rtl]
[rtl]He stressed that the administrations of Baghdad and Erbil "are determined to cleanse Iraqi lands of terrorism," stressing "his country's readiness to provide all possible support to the two administrations."[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "Turkey's relations with Baghdad and Erbil are advancing dynamically at all levels, and their importance always remains on the country's agenda."[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "there are very intensive topics on the agenda during his visit to Iraq, such as economic issues, the development path project, combating terrorism, the issue of water, the reconstruction of Iraq, and infrastructure and superstructure projects."[/rtl]
[rtl]On an official visit to Baghdad, Minister Fidan will discuss the outstanding issues between Iraq and Turkey, especially the "PKK" file, as well as oil, water and energy issues.[/rtl]
