Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Wednesday, that the government’s approach includes providing more facilities to major companies working in the field of electricity and energy.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by “Earth News” that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, this morning, the CEO of the American company Stellar Energy, Peter Gibson.”
He added, “The Prime Minister reviewed a presentation of the projects undertaken by the company within the electricity sector, and stressed the government’s interest in expanding combined cycle projects in the electrical energy production sector, which constitutes an important priority in the service and development program.”
The Prime Minister stressed that “the government’s approach includes providing more facilities to major companies working in the field of electricity and energy, as it is a vital field on which other economic and service sectors depend.”
For his part, Gibson renewed “his company’s determination and pledge to fulfill its obligations with Iraq, and work to increase production and improve transportation and distribution networks, in proportion to the increase in loads and demand for electrical energy.”
