    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
Today, Thursday (September 14, 2023), the leader in the coordination framework, Turki Al-Utbi, commented on the visit of the Prime Minister of the Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, to Baghdad, while noting that the visit carries within it 5 important files.
Al-Otbi told "Baghdad Today", "The visit of Masrour Barzani and a delegation from the government cabinet in the Kurdistan region to Baghdad was scheduled two weeks ago to meet with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and to discuss 5 important files, most notably salaries, oil, and border crossings."
The leader in the framework believes that “Baghdad has fulfilled all its financial obligations towards Erbil, and that the imbalance in the salary crisis is borne by the regional government,” pointing out that “the Sudanese government is serious about resolving all disputes in accordance with the constitution and the law.”
He pointed out that "the framework discussed more than once the file of relations with the Kurdistan region with regard to financial matters and was supportive of the Sudanese options in dealing with them according to fair and just paths that take into account the rights of all regions of the country," stressing that the Sudanese government is serious about imposing federal authority on all crossings in the region. Conduct a comprehensive audit of employee numbers.”
He continued: “There are big question marks in files related to financial matters and the number of employees in the Kurdistan region that need a comprehensive review by Baghdad,” adding that “today’s meeting between Sudanese and Barzani may result in consensus on many files that contribute to a positive response to the crisis in accordance with constitutional principles.” ".
Earlier today, the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation, headed by Masrour Barzani, arrived in the capital, Baghdad, to meet with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.
The "Baghdad Today" correspondent said, "The delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government arrived in the capital, Baghdad, and will hold its first meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani."
