    [rtl]Iraq and Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding to prevent corruption, and an integrity statement stated, “The head of the commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, stressed that strengthening the historical partnership between the Iraqi and Egyptian republics is very important,” describing “Egypt as Iraq’s twin brother and that their civilizations were a starting point for lofty ideals and noble values ​​​​toward... Humanity, which is preceded by the values ​​of justice, integrity and honor.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]In his speech on the sideslines of the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Federal Integrity Commission and the Egyptian Administrative Oversight Authority, Judge Hanoun noted, “The experience of the Administrative Oversight Authority, its path in work, and the accumulated expertise in the field of preventing and combating corruption; it is one of the long-established institutions in Egypt and is distinguished by diligent work and credibility,” noting “Signing the memorandum of understanding is a first step towards international successes, as Iraq needs the support of the Republic of Egypt in combating corruption and recovering funds.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]Hanoun added, “Confronting the scope of corruption in Iraq is exhausting. Corruption has become a crime that threatens and affects economic development and threatens security,” stressing that “fighting corruption, preventing it, and recovering its revenues are among the priorities of the current government headed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani," while pointing out that "Iraq, with its relevant institutions, has amended the legislation that combats corruption, and has doubled the pace of operations to prosecute corrupt people and follow up on the inflation of Officials' funds and illicit gain through the campaign (Where did you get this from), in addition to continuing to work in the awareness-raising, cultural and educational aspects."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, “Recovering wanted persons in order to impose deterrent punishment on them, and recovering the stolen funds in order to return them to the state treasure are a sacred goal for the government and the authority.” [/rtl]
    [rtl]For his part, the Chairman of the Administrative Oversight Authority expressed his “happiness in strengthening the bonds of cooperation between the regulatory agencies in the Arab countries, especially the Iraqi Federal Integrity Commission,” noting that “concluding this memorandum is the beginning of cooperation and is a strong incentive to develop expertise and relations,” while he explained, “The Academy affiliated with Administrative Control has expertise in the field of investigation, financial crimes, and electronic crimes.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]The statement indicated, “During the ceremony, which was attended by the Iraqi Ambassador (Ahmed Nayef) and the Directors-General of the Prevention, Planning and Research Departments of the Commission, the Federal Integrity Commission and the Administrative Oversight Authority in the Arab Republic of Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding for bilateral cooperation in the field of preventing and combating corruption, in recognition of the seriousness of “The problems and threats that corruption causes to the security and stability of societies, undermining institutions, democratic systems and values ​​​​of justice, and endangering the rule of law and sustainable development.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]The statement continued, “The memorandum, which was signed by the head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, and Minister Amr Adel, head of the Administrative Oversight Authority, which has a duration of five years and can be automatically extended for a Similar period, aims to develop and enhance bilateral cooperation and coordinate efforts in the field of preventing corruption and preventing its effects and consequences.” In addition to following the methodology for developing bilateral cooperation relations, in accordance with what is required by national legislation, in a way that enhances their capabilities in combating or reducing corruption.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The statement continued, “The memorandum stipulated the formation of a joint coordination committee that includes representatives from both parties to coordinate efforts, headed by one of the two parties successfully for a period of one year. It is responsible for activating and organizing areas of cooperation , facilitating its implementation procedures, determining communication mechanisms and means, as well as proposing any amendments to the memorandum.” ".[/rtl]
