{Local: Al-Furat News} The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, ordered the exemption of violators from vehicle drivers during this day, while opening the Green Zone to citizens until dawn, in celebration of the Iraqi National Day.
In a statement, a copy of which {Al-Furat News} received, the Traffic Department called on “vehicle drivers not to intentionally commit violations in order to preserve their safety and the safety of citizens celebrating the blessed National Day.”
The government had designated today, October 3, as an official holiday in the country to commemorate the day of Iraq’s declaration of independence from the British Mandate and its joining the League of Nations, on October 3, 1932.
