A source close to the former Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki for granting the latter to his relatives in the city Touirij in the province of Karbala, south of Baghdad, sums of money as a gift feast. said the source, who stressed on the condition of anonymity said that "al-Maliki managing his relatives and his followers in the city of Touirij sums of money." He explained that "the amount of money granted by al-Maliki for his relatives and his followers in the city Touirij in the province of Karbala, south of Baghdad, and arrived about a million dollars," noting that "have been distributed under the name of holiday gift (eidia)." It is said that Indian or "Touirij" is one of the Iraqi cities of Karbala province, a district center Touirij, where Nuri al-Maliki was born in 1950, and was formerly Touirij trace the province of Babylon, and is located at a distance of 25 km east of the city of Karbala, on the banks of the Shatt al-Hindi, one of the branches of the Euphrates River.
