    Information/Baghdad..
The Parliamentary Energy Committee seeks to approve the Electricity and Renewable Energy Law in the next stage, while indicating that the improvement in electrical energy during this period is due to the maintenance of the stations by the Ministry of Electricity as well as the improvement of weather conditions during this period.

A member of the Parliamentary Energy Committee, Dakhel Radi Ali, said in an interview followed by “Al-Ma’louma” that “the improvement in electrical energy during this period is due to the maintenance of some stations, in addition to the introduction of new energy transmission lines, in addition to the improvement of the current weather conditions that made energy consumption decrease.” ".
Ali stated, "The Ministry of Electricity has taken it upon itself to ensure that next summer will be an uninterrupted summer in order for Iraqis to enjoy continuous energy."
He pointed out that "there are several new steps that contribute to preserving the energy system and will be taken in the future, including installing smart meters and bringing new stations into service."
He continued, "After the adoption of the Electricity and Renewable Energy Law, there will be new sources of energy that will come into service, including solar energy," indicating that "the government has given attention and allocations to the Ministry of Electricity that will be important and help in delivering and sustaining energy in the next stage."
He pointed out that "this law is still within the committee, which is working on maturing it by listening to the opinions of legal professionals, other supporting parties, and the proposals of the ministries. It will mature, be presented for a second reading, and then be voted on."
Regarding the alternative energy law, Ali revealed that “the committee is continuing its meetings in order to mature this law, and that there are contracts concluded with many companies in the center, south, and western region, and these projects will see the light in the coming years.” End/25
