Baghdad - The decision of the Central Bank of Iraq to allow the import of foreign exchange from abroad has raised many concerns, the most important of which is the creation of new speculators who will enter the US dollar and then sell it at the parallel price.
Economic experts explained that, under this procedure, any entity or institution receiving remittances from outside Iraq can abandon receiving remittances in Iraqi dinars and at the official rate, and ship its money in foreign exchange by air, pay the cost of transportation and insurance, and then receive it when it arrives in Iraq.[/size]
