Hussein Al-Saadi:
The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, condemned the attack that targeted the Jurf Al-Nasr area, and while he directed the security services to carry out their duties and implement and enforce the law, he considered the targeting a clear violation of sovereignty and an attempt to disturb the internal security situation. The Popular Mobilization Authority held a solemn funeral for the bodies of the heroic martyrs who were killed as a result of the treacherous American bombing on Popular Mobilization sites in the Jazeera Operations Command in the Jurf al-Nasr district, north of Babil Governorate, while Al-Sudani affirmed, during his meeting with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, the government’s readiness to find a solution to resume oil exports. Referring to Iraq's aspiration for more Turkish cooperation in the water file, the
official government spokesman, Bassem Al-Awadi, said in a statement, received by Al-Zawraa: “The Iraqi government confirms that it is dealing with the recent escalation, which the Iraqi arena witnessed during the past two days, as a dangerous escalation.” It is an unacceptable violation of Iraqi sovereignty, which we are committed, under all circumstances, to preserve, preserve and defend, in accordance with the constitutional and legal duties of the government.”
He added: “We strongly condemn the attack that targeted the Jurf al-Nasr area, which took place without the knowledge of the Iraqi government agencies, which is considered a clear violation of sovereignty and an attempt to disrupt the stable internal security situation,” indicating that “the Iraqi government is exclusively concerned with implementing the law and holding violators accountable, which is a right.” It is exclusive to it, and no external party has the right to perform this role on its behalf, which is unacceptable according to Iraqi constitutional sovereignty and international law.”
He stressed that “the presence of the international coalition in Iraq is a presence that supports the work of our armed forces through training, rehabilitation, and counseling courses, and that what happened is a clear violation of the mission for which the members of the international coalition are present to fight ISIS on Iraqi soil.” Therefore, it is called upon not to act unilaterally, and to adhere to Iraq’s sovereignty, which it will not tolerate violations of in any way.”
He continued, "The Iraqi government stresses that it is the body constitutionally responsible for formulating and implementing state policies, maintaining order and stability, and defending internal security, and that any act or armed activity committed from outside the military institution is considered a condemnable act and an activity outside the law, and threatens the interests of the people." “The supreme national interest is at risk, and any armed or other elements that do not adhere to this principle are working against the supreme national interest,” stressing that “the government will take the necessary measures to defend Iraq’s supreme interests.”
He pointed out that “the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, directed all the armed forces and all security services to carry out their duties and implement and enforce the law, and not allow any party to disturb or harm the country’s security and stability, which was achieved through the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs from among the people of the country.” Our people and our heroic security forces, of all kinds, are therefore everyone’s responsibility to preserve it, and no party may neglect it, under any circumstances.” Meanwhile, yesterday, Wednesday, the Popular Mobilization Authority held a solemn funeral for the bodies of the heroic martyrs who were killed as a result of the treacherous American bombing on Popular Mobilization sites in the Jazeera Operations Command in the Jurf al-Nasr district, north of Babil Governorate.
