The Palestinian Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, spoke in a dialogue session entitled: “Regional and International Dimensions of the Zionist Aggression against the Gaza Strip,” held in the Sergio Vieira D’Emilio Hall in the center’s building in Najaf Governorate, about a number of topics related to the Arab-Zionist conflict, the most important of which are the roots of this conflict and its causes, The role of the settlement side in oppressing the Palestinians.
In the session hosted by the Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD), Al-Ruwaidi pointed out the importance of Jerusalem in the Arab-Zionist conflict as it is an icon with symbolic, religious and historical dimensions that the Zionists wanted to control by all means. Then he moved on to developments in the Palestinian file, including the dimensions of the aggression against the Gaza Strip and its impact on the political scene. The regional and international dimension, and the importance of implementing the decisions of the Arab Islamic Summit in their political and financial aspects. Ambassador Al-Ruwaidi spoke about the impact of local, regional and international actors in activating a political solution based on the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
