An Israeli minister proposes another place for the establishment of a Palestinian state

Minister of Social Equality, Gila Gamal, considered that the best place for the Palestinians to establish their state is Sinai , according to the second Hebrew channel reported on Monday.
"A Palestinian state can only be established in the Sinai," said Gila Jamal, who is in Egypt for a UN women's conference, in an interview with Sovereignty magazine last week.
In addition, the Israeli Channel 2 revealed that the Egyptian Foreign Ministry requested clarification from the Israeli Foreign Ministry regarding the statements made by Gamal, in which she said that "a Palestinian state can only be established in the Sinai."
According to the Hebrew channel, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry formally asked the Israeli counterpart to clarify these statements, noting that Egypt through her ambassador in Tel Aviv Hazem Khairat, expressed anger over these statements, during contacts with senior officials of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The channel quoted an Israeli official in the Foreign Ministry as saying that these statements do not represent the official position of the government, and do not reflect its policy, noting that the reaction of Egyptian anger has been absorbed.
