Director General of Ports, Farhan Al-Fartusi, confirmed that Al-Faw Port will be a global transit station for transporting trade from Asian countries towards European countries.
Al-Fartusi said that the Al-Faw Port project will be a global transit station, linking the countries of Asia and Europe via the path of development, noting that we have visited several ports in China, the Emirates and Singapore to learn about the port operating policy.
He added that the completion rate for the five berths reached 80%, and the first and second berths will be operational by the end of the year 2025, noting that we carried out the experimental berthing in Al-Faw Port and it was successful.
