The Minister of Justice, Khaled Shawani, announced today, Sunday, that Iraq has become one of the countries most committed to sending reports related to the human rights file, while noting that it has presented a project to express freedom of opinion and peaceful demonstration.
Shawani said in his speech during the second conference of the National Human Rights Plan: “The Iraqi government worked to frame the human rights document, and is also working to improve prison conditions, prevent torture, provide job opportunities for graduates, and revitalize the private sector,” noting that “the government presented a new project for freedom.” Demonstrating in accordance with the international covenant on this matter.”
He added, "The government has put in place plans to deal with climate change and its impact on human rights."
Shwani stressed that Iraq has become one of the countries most committed to sending reports related to the human rights file, noting that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani approved the proposal of the Ministry of Justice regarding unifying the structure of human rights departments with continuous follow-up of this advanced mechanism.”
The conference began . The second National Human Rights Plan, today, Sunday, in the presence and patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.
