Political analyst, Ibrahim Al-Sarraj, said today, Monday, that the American presence in Iraq is “contrary” to all legal and constitutional agreements and frameworks, while confirming that the Washington embassy has crossed all diplomatic borders and contexts.
Al-Sarraj said, in an interview with the “Al-Ma’louma” Agency, that “the presence of American forces in Iraq cannot be accepted because it is illegal, illegal, and in violation of all the agreements made by previous governments, which brought them to Iraq as advisors,” asking: “How can Can the advisors target the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces?
He added, "America has no possibility to respond or justify the targeting of their embassy, in the capital, Baghdad, especially after the crimes they recently committed against members of the Hashd," pointing out that "Washington's embassy has crossed all diplomatic borders and contexts in Iraq."
The political analyst explained, “The American embassy violates all conditions for the presence of embassies in the world, especially its size, the number of forces present inside it, in addition to the equipment and armament it possesses, especially missile systems and the like.”
The series of presence of American forces inside Iraqi territory continues amid major contradictions from the Washington administration regarding the nature of this presence. One day it mentions its presence for assistance and advice, and another day it carries out “suspicious” military operations.
Yesterday, Friday, the American embassy in Baghdad confirmed that it had been subjected to a missile attack, while calling on the Iraqi government to protect it. Ended / 25 R
