Member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, Representative Ali Niama, warned on Thursday of the consequences of the continued American occupation under the pretext of the diplomatic presence in the American embassy.
Nimah said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The presence of diplomatic embassies and consulates in Iraq and the rest of the countries of the world is governed by an international agreement that defines the powers and working mechanisms, which in essence include taking into account common interests, not interfering in internal affairs, and being a window of cooperation and not a source of disruption to security and stability.” .
He added, "The American embassy is a military barracks containing 3,000 soldiers in central Baghdad, and this represents clear violations of the international agreement," pointing out that "it cannot be accepted that the embassy turns into a military base while it raises the slogan of diplomacy."
He pointed out, "The American military presence is rejected and we support its removal from the country, especially since we have all the capabilities to defend the security and stability of the nation without the need for any external foreign presence." Ended 25 F
