    Baghdad today - Baghdad
An informed political source revealed today, Saturday (January 6, 2024), that the Kurdistan Region delegation that arrived in Baghdad received positive messages regarding amending the region’s share in the budget.
The source said in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "the visit of the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Faleh al-Fayyad, to Erbil two days ago carried a message from the coordination framework and a preparation to end all problems with the region."
The source added, "The leaders of the framework do not want to open a new front of dispute with the Kurdistan region, and therefore there is a consensus to proceed with approving the budget amendment that guarantees the region's share, and the parliament's vote on this matter will not take long."
The Kurdistan Regional Government is looking forward to two important issues in the budget. The first is adjusting the cost of extracting a barrel of oil and the shares of foreign companies to resume exports, as well as separating the salaries of the region’s employees from other financial disputes and not placing them under actual spending.
Earlier, an informed political source reported today, Saturday (January 6, 2024), the arrival of the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation, headed by the region’s Minister of Finance and Economy, Awat Sheikh Janab, to the capital, Baghdad.
