The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee formed subcommittees to follow up on strategic and service projects in Baghdad and the governorates.
Committee member, Sarwa Muhammad Rashid, explained in an interview with “Al-Sabah” that “parliamentary efforts focus on following up on the implementation of projects, including road projects between governorates, border roads, and projects within governorates and in villages, districts, and districts,” indicating that “the Services Committee is facing a group of strategic projects.” The committee is also monitoring the rates of completion of road and bridge projects in Baghdad because there are many problems in this sector, especially the very stifling traffic congestion in the capital.”
Muhammad added that her committee is “preparing to work on activating oversight of projects, by forming main and sub-committees from its deputies to follow up on these projects in Baghdad and the governorates, the most important of which are water and electricity projects, the main roads between the governorates and border roads, in addition to housing projects, which also serves efforts to reduce unemployment.” And the Iraqi labor force was involved in these projects.” She pointed out that "the House of Representatives had voted on the budget law, the paragraphs of which included support for regional development projects."
