Firas Al-Muslimaoui, representative of the State of Law Coalition, revealed today, Thursday, the lack of adoption within the coordination framework to change the election law, while noting that the multiple constituencies were fair to the people and the candidates.

Al-Muslimaoui said in his interview with the (Twenty) program, broadcast by Al-Sumaria TV, that “there is no adoption within the framework to change the election law,” noting that “the multiple constituencies were fair to the people and the candidates, but the geographical distribution was not at the required level and we need to correct it.”

He added, “The election law is a strategic issue, and if it is changed, it must be presented within the framework or state administration and discussed, but the meetings that passed did not witness any official presentation regarding this matter,” indicating that “ideas can be used to present all political matters, but we rely on official matters.” No to discussions."

He continued, "The success of the Sudanese and his government is reflected in the framework and stands behind it in all matters for which it needs support," explaining that "the State of Law coalition formed a committee on the election law and no specific decision was reached to choose multiple or single constituencies to be proposed."

Al-Muslimaoui pointed out that “we have no problem with changing or maintaining the election law,” adding that “there is a difference between the opinion of the bloc and the unanimous framework because it is united by strategies and can differ in details.”

He pointed out that "the Sudanese has privacy within the framework as prime minister with support because he focuses on building foreign relations well," adding that "the state of law will have a position after the results of the committee formed on the election law, and now we are not in support of its survival or not."

He stressed that "multiple constituencies are more fair and equal to the votes and fairness to the candidates, in the opinion of the majority of representatives, and they support it because it is fair," pointing out that "some blocs say that their voters were subjected to injustice because of a small difference in votes and they did not obtain seats."

Al-Muslimaoui continued, “There will be a study of the benefits and drawbacks of the law, and the decision will be made based on it,” concluding by saying that “the coordination framework did not fail with the multi-district law and maintained its audience, and most of its blocs’ audiences increased.”
