    Baghdad today - Baghdad
The leader of the Victory Coalition, Aqil al-Rudaini, confirmed today, Sunday, that the coordination framework forces discussed the file of amending the election law and the commission at its last meeting in Baghdad.
Al-Rudaini said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "amending the election law and making changes to the commission in terms of its law or its members depend directly on the will of the political blocs," noting that "the coming days will show the positions of other forces."
He stressed that "the coordination framework was discussed, in its last meeting 3 days ago in Baghdad, the amendment of the election law and the rest of the other axes."
He added, "The parliament's legislative recess has ended today, and the amendment of the election law will be among its upcoming files," pointing out that "if the vote on the law is decided, the Sudanese government will have, in accordance with its pledges to hold provincial elections at the end of the current year 2023, because it will take 6 to 8 months.” Or a full year to create the conditions for holding provincial elections, but in the event of delay in approving the law, the elections will be carried forward to the beginning of 2024.
