The Petroleum Products Distribution Company in Holy Karbala observed a clear growth in the volume of money paid by electronic payment at fuel filling stations, while it decided to include new categories in this system.
The director of petroleum products distribution in Karbala, Ali Abdul Latif Al-Musawi, told Al-Sabah: The company adopted this system in stages to achieve a streamlined payment process, as government stations and types of gasoline were included, and then all stations were included, including private ones, meaning it was circulated throughout. Governorate.
He added that dealing with the electronic payment system also included all mobile oil agents and liquid gas agents according to a well-thought-out plan so as not to affect the flow of distribution among citizens.
He stated that the company issued an administrative order assigning a senior staff to supervise the electronic payment mechanism, and there are significant jumps in the amounts collected by this system to exceed more than six billion and three hundred million dinars during last March, while the value of the amounts achieved in January of this year was 500. One million dinars, which reflects the awareness of citizens who have become supportive of all electronic payment operations.
Al-Mousawi pointed out that other categories are included in the electronic payment process, including owners of generators, the private sector, agricultural pumps, heavy equipment, brick and asphalt factories, as well as oil and gas yards, and transactions are limited to electronic cards issued by companies approved by the Central Bank.
