    A number of ministers and deputy ministers held a ministerial meeting today, Wednesday, to review the schedules of the federal general budget for the year 2024, including discussing the transfer mechanism for the Kurdistan region’s allocations in the budget.

    The media office of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/1956186754/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%81%D8%B7/ar/]Ministry of Oil[/url] said in a statement received by [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/133473/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%88%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D9%86%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%B2/ar/]Alsumaria News[/url], “Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani, along with Minister of Planning [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/2068841566/%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%85%D8%AF %D8%B9%D9%84%D9%8A %D8%AA%D9%85%D9%8A%D9%85/ar/]Muhammad Ali Tamim[/url], held a meeting today, Wednesday, of the committee responsible for reviewing the schedules of the federal general budget for the year 2024.”



    The ministry added that the meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of files on the agenda, including a discussion of the mechanism for transferring the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/133481/%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%88%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A5%D9%82%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%85 %D9%83%D8%B1%D8%AF%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%A7%D9%86/ar/]Kurdistan Regional Government[/url]’s allocations within the budget tables, especially with regard to employee compensation, social care, and regional government revenues, and the mechanism for handing them over to the federal government according to what was stated in the Federal Court’s decision and the law.     The ministry continued, “The meeting also discussed the discussion of maximizing revenues to reduce the percentage of the deficit contained in the general budget by creating legal texts to include electricity sales and local oil sales as revenues in the budget tables.”

    According to the statement, the delegation of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/133481/%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%88%D9%85%D8%A9 %D8%A5%D9%82%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%85 %D9%83%D8%B1%D8%AF%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%A7%D9%86/ar/]Kurdistan Regional Government[/url] participated in the meeting, which included the Minister of Finance, the head of the Regional Council’s office, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the head of the Coordination and [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/2765771709/%D9%82%D8%B3%D9%85 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%AA%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%B9%D8%A9/ar/]Follow-up Department[/url].
