Today, Friday (April 12, 2024), the Civil Defense Directorate announced new details about the Al-Rumaitha gas station fire incident in Al-Muthanna Governorate.
The directorate said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", "Civil defense teams succeeded in extinguishing a major fire accident that broke out inside the new Rumaitha government gas station in the Rumaitha district at Al-Muthanna station this morning."
She added: "The civil defense teams contained the fire that broke out inside eight fuel pumps, the station roof, and a civilian vehicle, without recording human casualties and limiting the material damage."
She explained, "The accident was the result of a citizen's negligence while refueling, according to surveillance cameras, which initially sparked the accident."
