Representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sharif Suleiman, confirmed today, Tuesday, the continuation of the process of localizing employees’ salaries in the region, as well as work on preparing government banks in Kurdistan to localize their salaries.
Suleiman told Al-Maalouma, “The process of localizing the salaries of the region’s employees is continuing and will be completed after the completion of collecting information and data for all Kurdistan employees.”
He added, "The localization process requires technical procedures, and there are ongoing efforts to allocate 5-7 government banks operating in the region, so that the salaries of their regional employees are localized."
He stated that "employees' salaries will not be affected or stopped during the technical work to localize their salaries, but rather they will continue, and Kurdistan welcomes the localization decision in order to serve the segment of employees similar to other governorates, as work continues between the Federal Ministry of Finance and the region's finances in order to resolve the salary localization file."
