The Ministry of Justice counted the number of state properties in Baghdad and the governorates, while announcing the formation of a higher committee to resolve this file.
The ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Luaibi, said, “Under the direction of the Minister of Justice, Khaled Shawani, an inventory of state properties was carried out through a committee headed by the legal real estate assistant and under the supervision of the senior undersecretary of the ministry. They were kept with their files for fear of tampering and forgery, and all parties such as the municipalities and the Baghdad Municipality were informed.” And finances regarding it,” indicating that “the state’s real estate file is not thorny because the real estate has been preserved and archived.”
Luaibi added, “The state real estate belonging to the Baghdad Municipality amounted to approximately 4,421 properties, while the total state real estate in Baghdad amounted to about 19,628 properties, while the state real estate in the governorates amounted to more than one million properties.”
