[rtl]The Governor of Diwaniyah, Abbas Shuail Al-Zamili, confirmed the existence of government plans to rehabilitate and add buildings and halls to the Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital, while indicating the inclusion of a number of health projects within the governorate’s budget for the year 2024.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Zamili said, in an interview followed by Al-Iqtisad News: “A comprehensive development plan has been drawn up for health institutions in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, which includes rehabilitating and adding new buildings and lobbies in the governorate’s hospitals.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The local government seeks to improve and raise the level of health services provided to citizens, by including a number of health projects within the governorate's budget for the year 2024," noting that "the governorate administration does not allow any party to interfere in the work of health institutions."[/rtl]
[rtl]In turn, the head of the Health Committee of the Provincial Council, Sondos Al-Moussawi, indicated that “the committee directly follows up on the medical services provided by government hospitals and health centers to citizens.” [/rtl]
[rtl]For his part, Director General of Diwaniyah Health, Amer Mohsen Al-Khazali, said: “The building that was added to Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital is in accordance with international standards subject to quality control, and is equipped with advanced medical equipment from solid international origins.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Khazali explained, “The building receives patients with respiratory disability, accidents, and emergency cases. It has a capacity of 32 beds and is distributed into two halls for women and men, in addition to a laboratory unit, a lecture hall, and private rooms for doctors and nurses.”[/rtl]
