Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Oil counted the number of its workshops for adding gas systems throughout Iraq, except for the Kurdistan Region. While it indicated the date for opening two model workshops, it confirmed that it is in the process of contracting with international companies to open workshops for adding gas systems.
The director of the Ministry's Auto Gas Department, Azhar Fadhel, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, followed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the number of workshops for adding gas systems to cars has reached 26 workshops spread throughout Iraq except for the Kurdistan Region, including 8 workshops in Baghdad."
He added that "work is underway to develop and increase the number of workshops, as two model workshops will be added during the current year 2024."
He stressed that "the Ministry of Oil is in the process of completing the requirements for entry into partnership contracts with international manufacturing companies, to open workshops for adding gas systems."
