    Shafaq News/ The London-based immigration consultancy firm Henley & Partners published its index of the strongest and weakest passports in the world, including Arab countries, for the year 2024.
    According to the classification, the Singaporean passport topped the list of the most powerful passports in the world, while Japan, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain came in second place on the list of the most powerful passports, as it is possible to travel without an entry visa to 192 destinations.
    The passports of Austria, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Sweden come in third place, as the passport of any of them allows travel to 191 destinations without an entry visa.
    Arab passports
    At the level of the rest of the Arab countries, the Qatari passport ranked 46th globally, as it allows its holder to travel without a visa to 107 destinations.
    The Kuwaiti passport ranked 49th globally, and allows travel to 99 destinations.
    The Saudi passport ranked 56th globally, with about 88 destinations, while the Omani passport ranked 58th globally, with about 86 destinations.
    The Moroccan passport ranked 68th globally, allowing travel to 72 destinations without a visa, the Tunisian passport ranked 71st with 69 destinations, the Algerian passport ranked 84th with 55 destinations, and the Egyptian passport ranked 87th, allowing travel to 52 destinations.
    As for the weakest passport, the index ranked Syria in 102nd place globally, with its citizens entering 28 countries without a visa, followed by Iraq in 101st place globally, with its passport allowing its citizens to enter 31 countries without a visa, followed by Yemen, which is ranked 100th globally, with its citizens entering 33 countries without a visa, Somalia in 99th place globally, with 35 countries without a visa, Libya in 98th place globally, with 39 countries without a visa, and Palestine in 97th place globally, with 40 countries without a visa.
    “The ability to travel visa-free to a wide range of destinations is no longer just a luxury, it is a powerful economic tool that can drive growth, enhance international cooperation and attract foreign investment,” Henley CEO Jörg Steffen said in comments reported by Bloomberg.
