    Shafaq News/ Foreign remittance sales increased by 97% in the Central Bank of Iraq auction on Monday, compared to cash sales, to reach more than $257 million.
    Shafaq News Agency correspondent reported that the bank sold 265 million, 964 thousand and 50 dollars in its auction today, covering it at a basic exchange rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards, at a rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and at a rate of 1305 dinars per dollar in cash.
    He added that most of the dollar sales went to boost balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to $257,464,050, up 97% from cash sales of $8,500,000.
    Our correspondent indicated that the number of banks that purchased cash dollars was one bank, while the number of banks that met requests to enhance balances abroad was 16 banks, and the total number of exchange companies participating in the auction was 14 companies.

    {Economic: Al Furat News} The Central Bank of Iraq's dollar sales rose on Sunday to more than $270 million in the currency auction, compared to last Thursday.
    The bank sold in its auction today 270 million, 808 thousand and 435 dollars, covering it at a basic exchange rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards, at a rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and at a rate of 1305 dinars per dollar in cash.
    Most of the dollar sales went to boost balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, which amounted to $262,958,434, up 97% from cash sales of $7,850,000.
    The number of banks that purchased cash dollars was one bank, while the number of banks that met requests to enhance balances abroad was 15 banks, and the total number of exchange companies participating in the auction was 8 companies.
