Oil Minister: Iraq needs foreign oil companies reduced spending projects in the fields

Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said Iraq needs foreign oil companies to cut spending at a time when the country is seeking to fill the budget deficit caused by low oil prices.
According to Reuters news agency in translation agency / information / quoting Abdul-Mahdi as saying at a meeting of the joint committees operating within the fields of licensing rounds that "the ministry looking to reduce financial expenses of foreign oil companies operating within service contracts."
He stressed "the need to adopt a uniform policy in handling and dealing with all international companies as well as work hard to provide the appropriate investment environment and to achieve the goals of the ministry."
