    French court ruled Friday, the "Total" group of oil to pay a fine of 750 thousand euros on charges of corruption, in the case of the "oil for food" program, which the United Nations and developed to help the Iraqis during the nineties of the last century.

    The French media, said that the resumption of the court ruled in France today, the French oil company "Total" to pay a fine worth 750 thousand euros on charges of embezzling public funds in the case of the United Nations "oil for food" in Iraq between 1996 and 2003.

    This penalty and match the demands of the public prosecutor and the maximum penalty applicable in that period, as a rule, "Vitol" set to pay a fine worth 300 thousand euros.

    The prosecution announced the innocence of all accused in the Court of First Instance but the prosecutor appealed against most of them.
