{Baghdad: Euphrates News} Called a member of the Committee on Economy and Investment parliamentary deputy Aziz Sharif Mayahi, the Ministry of Commerce to contract with several companies to provide ration card Altamonah the system per food basket.
He said Mayahi in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News} copy of it on Tuesday, said that "the system food basket will have returns significant positive but at the same time, there are downsides must put the necessary precautions to avoid them before the adoption of the food basket being linked بقوت people."
He added that "the Ministry of Commerce contracted with several companies specializes in providing such vocabulary to a number of provinces to exceed the three provinces each company to ensure the delivery of vocabulary for all the sons of the Iraqi people, which is estimated, according to this system with 34 million baskets a month," noting that "this matter can not be any global company alone carried out as the best. "
Mayahi stressed "the need not to ignore the Ministry of Commerce in the event of the adoption of this method need to provide strategic inventories to be complementary to the vocabulary deficiencies in emergency food or the reluctance of companies providing such specialized vocabulary of what has been agreed upon for any circumstance."
He demanded the government and parliament to "provide the necessary appropriations to provide that the vocabulary and strategic inventories required for emergencies."
The Council of Ministers has already decided to cancel the ration card items and replace them with monthly financial exchange, what sparked a political backlash and negative popular fear of exploitation and greed of local merchants and manipulate the prices of food in local markets. Ended
