    Announced the Basra Governorate Council, on Tuesday, near the monument 435 camera surveillance in the center of the province (590 km south of Baghdad), noting that the province is seeking to installment frequencies amounting to 315 million dinars, or obtain a waiver of them, while the provincial police command confirmed that the project wages contribute to strengthening the ability of security performance and reduce violations and organized crime.
    The head of the security committee in the Basra Governorate Council, Jabbar al-Saadi, during a joint news conference with the provincial police chief, Maj. Gen. Abdul-Karim Mustafa, in the Council Building, downtown Basra, in the wake of a security meeting attended by the (long-Presse), said that "the province will see through the coming days, a project set up 435 surveillance cameras in position to be a central control room in the Basra operations command building. "
    He attributed Saadi, "the project was delayed to the failure to allocate special to him frequencies by the Information and Communication Authority, which require the payment of the wages of 315 million dinars," noting that "the local government is trying to installment amount or get an exemption from the Prime Minister."
    For his part, he said Basra's police chief, said that "monument cameras aims to raise the security performance and reduce violations and organized crime in Basra capacity."
    The announcement of the project set up surveillance cameras in Basra province, the center has been nearly four years ago, but was delayed due relating to non-problematic access to frequencies of Information and Communication Commission.
