    The Ministry of Electricity, on Saturday, toembrace a plan to invest in solar energy ,from the province of Muthanna. While indicated that they identified 12 locations for building systems , solar investment, it isexpected to contribute by adding nearly onethousand and 500 MW for national system through 2020, while the requested electric energy directorate in the southern region of ports to facilitate the procedures for leaving the three Turkish ships electric power supplied network province Basra , about 350 MW, due to lack of approval of the energy Committee in the Council ofMinisters to renew the contract for the purchase of electricity from it. 


    he said ministry spokesman Musab teacher, in an interview to the (long - Presse), " the renewable energy team at the Ministry of Electricity conducted geographical surveys in the provinces and identified 12 locations for investment in the monument systems solar as a first stage , "adding that" it will add nearly one thousand and 500 MW national system up to 2020 ". 
    He said the teacher that" the ministry commissioned an international company to establish the first investment solar power plant in the province of Muthanna, ( 250 km south of Baghdad) 0.50 MW card, on anarea of 400 acres , "noting that the " Ministry "investment companies invited to enter into the field ofrenewable energy that you purchase the electricity generated by the under - standing 20 - year contract." 
    explained a spokesman for the Ministry of electricity that " the ministry directed in the field of renewable energy is distributed on three axes, are domestic and government investment , " pointing out that " theministry is coordinating with the Ministry of Industry and minerals public Zora company referred to it the first government system of solar cells provided by the Ministry of Electricity of cells lighting poles used previously. "
    said the teacher , " the installation of this system will be at the ministry headquarters in the Mansour district, west of Baghdad, to generate about MW and one to cover more than 60% of the ministry 's consumption during working hours, to be added produced national system thereafter, hope circulating this approach to other ministries and government departments. " 
    He said the teacher, that" Zora company embarked on a plan especially for building systems , solar domestic capacity of 15 amp supervised by the Ministry of Electricity, "Msttrda that the" the system will provide homes where the system focused smart standards reflect overproduction to the national grid, for the award of a free electric power doubling of the citizens. "
