    Peaches and whiskey are natural partners, as evidenced by this summery cocktail from San Francisco bartenders Greg Lindgren and Jon Gasparini.


    Ingredients:


    • 4 fresh mint sprigs
    • 3 fresh peach slices
    • 1 tsp. superfine sugar
    • 1 1/2 oz. (45 ml) rye whiskey
    • 3/4 oz. (20 ml) fresh lemon juice

    Directions:

    In a cocktail shaker, muddle 3 of the mint sprigs and 2 of the peach slices with the sugar until the mint is very aromatic. Fill the shaker with ice and add the rye and lemon juice. Shake vigorously and strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with the remaining mint sprig and peach slice and serve immediately. Makes 1 drink.
