North Korea: We do not seek to meet with US officials

The North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted a senior official as saying that his country does not intend to hold any meeting with the Americans during the Winter Olympics, which begins on Friday in South Korea.
Pyongyang "has never begged for a dialogue with the United States and will remain in position," North Korea's North Korean Foreign Ministry chief Zhou Yong Sam said.
Kim Jong-un, Kim Jung-un's younger sister, will be on a first visit to North Korea's top Olympic delegation to the Pyongyang Olympics.
Observers believe that Yu-jong is expected to convey Kim Jong-un's message to the south as his de facto "agent" and will play the role of mediator to shift the concerns of the international community through the Pyongyang Winter Olympics to the top leadership in the north.
