On Friday, Iraq called on the Kingdom of the Netherlands to participate and support Baghdad in the fields of agriculture and water.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “its Minister Fuad Hussein visited this evening his Dutch counterpart Hanke Probens Salwa, at the headquarters of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” indicating that “Hussein stressed that Iraq has now become more stable, after the success of the elections.” Provincial councils in Iraq that took place recently.
According to the statement, Hussein called on the Netherlands to “participate in a greater role in Iraq, especially in the areas of water and agriculture,” stressing “Iraq’s endeavor to spare the Palestinian people all the tragedies to which they are exposed as a result of the Israeli aggression against Palestinian cities.”
For her part, the Dutch Foreign Minister stressed "the importance of her country's broader participation in the projects implemented by Iraq."
