[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]BAGHDAD - Iraq Press - January 14: General Establishment of Civil Aviation announced that oneof the formations and the Ministry of Transport statistics of the number of passengers and aircraft movements in the civil airports (Baghdad, Basra, Najaf).
The Statistics showed , according to a ministry statement, said that "there is an increase in the number of catching a flight and check - out in addition to the increase in passenger arrivals and departures for 2016 preparation, the number of incoming flights 26 thousand and 911 flights and 27 thousand and 180 flight reached, while the total number of passengers arriving 2,000,942 thousand and 327 departing passengers and 2,000,997 thousand and 480 passengers. "
He added that " the total number of passengers at the three airports reached nearly five million and 939 thousand and 807 flights, while the total number of trips in which nearly 54 thousand and 91 trip."
She Statistical out that " the last chapter of the last year has seen an increase in the number of flights and passengers compared to the three chapters that preceded it when the number of arriving flights has reached 7562 flight carried on board , 836 thousand and 655 passengers while the number of flights reached Departure 7584 trip carried on board , 825 thousand and 626 passengers ".
For his part , pointed out Director General of Civil Aviation Hussein Mohsin Kazim, said , "This increase is in line with what witnessed by the Iraqi civil aviation sector of expansion and openness to the world through different receivers flights obvious touches of interest in developing the services provided in all Iraqi airports after several field visits and tours transport minister Kazem cup to those airports and follow - up business and which add a distinctive character to the air transport sector of Iraq.
