Transport records 10 million passengers traveling through Iraq's airports

The Ministry of Transport announced Monday that more than 10 million passengers have been transported to and from the country's airports, while recording more than one million flights last year.
"Airports in Baghdad, Basra, Arbil, Najaf and Sulaymaniyah have recorded an increase in the number of flights and passengers compared to previous years," said Akram Luaibi, director of media at the Civil Aviation Authority of the ministry, according to the official newspaper Al-Sabah.
"The number of passengers exceeded 10 million, 365 thousand and 935 passengers, while the total number of flights 28 million and 12 thousand flights."
He pointed out that "Iraq has implemented bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding with several countries, resulting in an increase in the number of aircraft landing at various airports for the purpose of refueling compared to previous years." Ending / 25
