    Issued General Establishment of Civil Aviation one of the formations and the Ministry of Transport, statistically the number of passengers and aircraft movements in the civil airports of four airports in 2016, indicating that the number of passengers who moved through airports in Baghdad, Basra and Najaf reached nearly 6 million passengers, while attributed the reasons for the increase to the opening up of the civil aviation sector Iraqi on the countries of the world. 
    The General Establishment of Civil Aviation, at the statistic, I received a (long - Presse), a copy of it, that "there is an increase in the number of arriving and departing flights in addition to the increase in passenger arrivals and departures for the 2016 numbers , " indicating that " the number of incoming flights was (26.911) journey and departure (27.180) trip, while the total number of arriving passengers (2.942.327) and departing passengers (2.997.480) passengers. " 
    She explained statistically, that " the total number of passengers at the three airports, Baghdad, Najaf and Basra, amounted to approximately 5,939,807 passengers, while the total number of trips in which nearly 54.091." 
    The statistic that " the last chapter of the last year has seen an increase in the number of flights and passengers compared to the three chapters that preceded it when the number of planes coming 7.562 totaled trip carried on board 836.665 passengers while the number of trips was to leave 7.584 journey carried on board 825.626 passengers." 
    For his part, pointed out Director General of Civil Aviation, Hussein Mohsin Kazim, according to the statement, that "the increase is in line with what witnessed by the Iraqi civil aviation sector of expansion and openness to the world through different receivers flights obvious touches of interest in developing the services provided in all Iraqi airports ".
