{Baghdad: Euphrates News} Iraq and Russia have agreed on the formation of a ministerial committee to examine and approve future joint projects in the field of gas investment.
A statement by the Office of the Minister of Oil and agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of it today that "the oil minister Jabbar Ali Allaibi received in his office of the Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and the countries of Africa , Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and his entourage."
He added , "During the meeting , they discussed strengthening bilateral relations in all fields, especially the oil and energy sector."
The oil minister said according to the statement that " the two sides agreed on the formation of a ministerial committee to examine and approve future joint projects, especially in the field of gas investment and to serve the interests of both countries and enhances the opportunities for cooperation."
He praised the "depth of the historical relations between Iraq and the role of Russia and Russian companies to contribute to the development of the oil industry in Iraq."
For his part , the Special Representative of the Russian President said that "Russia is looking to increase the volume of cooperation and investment opportunities for Russian companies in Iraq , and that the Russian government is keen on activating the work of the Russian Committee of the Iraqi technical committees to achieve common goals."
The Russian delegation included according to the statement , "head of oil and gas producers in the Russian Federation and director of Lukoil in Iraq and Ambassralaraca in the Russian Federation and the Russian ambassador in Baghdad , " .anthy
