Chairman of the Southern Oil Company Hayan Abdul Ghani revealed on Wednesday that talks with Exxon Mobil oil company on the development of small oil fields in the south are making good progress.
Iraq is in talks with Exxon Mobil and Petrojayna about investing in a project worth billions of dollars to boost production of Allhis, Nasiriyah oil and brick and river bin Omar and Artawi fields.
She said Abdul Ghani told reporters in Basra, "our negotiations with Exxon Mobil Corp. for more than two years to develop the fields and river Artawi bin Omar and we have been able to access the advanced results", without giving further details.
